NOTE: Clinical SupervisionCurrent CPR for health providers and approved by the American Heart Association is required for clinical education assignments. Completion of general education and other graduation requirements is necessary for A.S. degree. Completion of the program will allow you to sit for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and State of California examination, certification, and licensure in Radiology Technology (CRT).

Articulation Agreement(s): The Radiologic Technology Program has an articulation agreement with California State University, Northridge, the only public institution in the state of California that offers a B.S. degree in Radiologic Technology.

 

Program and Course Costs

All course types, whether In-person, online, or hybrid, incur the same enrollment costs.

Costs as of October 2022

  • Enrollment Fee: $46 per unit
  • Non-Resident Tuition Fee: $307 plus $2 per unit capital outlay fee (PLUS $46 per unit Enrollment Fee)
  • Parking Permit: $58 per semester ($29 for summer)
  • Health Fee: $21 ($18 for summer)
  • Student Representation Fee: $2
  • Student Body Fee: $15

Costs as of October 2022

  • Books and Supplies: $1600, approx. 2-year cost (all radiology textbooks are used in several courses each semester throughout the program)
  • Radiation Detection Instrumentation Service: $50 per year, approx.
  • Uniforms & Shoes: $500, approx. 2-year cost
  • Lead Identification Markers: $24
  • Malpractice Insurance Fee: $13 per semester ($9 for summer)

Upon acceptance into the program, physical examination, background check, laboratory tests and vaccinations are required by the beginning of the FALL semester. Flu shots and other annual vaccinations may be required by the beginning of the second year Fall semester. 

Students are responsible for reliable transportation to and from the college and clinical educational centers. NOTE: we do not assign students to clinical facilities based on proximity to their home. Radiological Technology classes and clinical education hours vary each semester and summer intercession. Please be prepared to adjust your personal and work schedule appropriately.

Students who pass the ARRT may apply for the California Radiologic Technology Certificate without sitting for California examination. The  Radiologic Technology Certificate (CRT) Application form. must be completed. The application form, a copy of the ARRT certificate and a non-refundable application fee of $75.00 in the form of a check or money order made payable to the CDPH-RHB must be returned to the CDPH-RHB. Applicants are notified within 30 calendar days of submission of the application.
Radiologic Technology Program follows the Cañada College  Credit and Refund Policies.
